Is your classroom Thanksgiving Ready?

Teachers, are you stuck and in a slump trying to come up with some ideas to get your students engaged with the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday? Here at Primary Innovations, we have some ideas to help you along.

There are several ideas that you can use when it comes to decorating your door for Thanksgiving that created an inviting environment for your students. One idea that you can use to engage students is by decorating your door and asking them what they are thankful for. This gives you a chance as a teacher to get to know your students on a more personal level. Who knows what little Jimmie will tell you what he’s thankful for - mom, dad, brother, sister or even his new toy car.

Another way that you could decorate your door to engage your students is by placing foods that they might like. Someone might like pecan pie but someone else might like pumpkin. You might even have some kids who like something different such as an apple caramel pie! This also gives you a chance to find out how diversified your students are.

I hope that we have given you some ways to incorporate these ideas in your classroom this Thanksgiving. If you have some ideas that you have tried and that your kids really like, drop pictures below so we can share!!
